Do you obey your thoughts or do your thoughts obey you? I would like to say that I follow into the latter category but too often that has not been the case. No wonder I used to slip into the pit of depression so easily! Think about what you are thinking about! Music (good music) is an awesome way of doing this. This is the song that was running through my head this morning. Trust me when I say it is much better than what used to run through there
Blessings!

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)

Could it be said that where our thoughts are, that is where our heart is also? I have recently finally realized that turning my thoughts to the Lord to worship Him and give thanks is the only thing that brings true peace. Thank you for the reminder and the song. I really needed it right at this moment. [misty eyes]

His timing is perfect. I was just sharing with my friend, Jane, about this. About the “ripple” effect, actually. She is worship leader at my church and I am just so amazed how God will put a song (or a word) on one person’s heart and they pass it on and then we pass it on. He is so awesome.
